Film industry champion and veteran, Peter Castaldi talks up his latest pick 'Song of Lahore' screening at Riverside Theatres, Parramatta on Wednesday November 4 2015 from 6.30pm. Join the Q&A after the screening with Izzat Majeed the Sachal Studios Founder and subject of the documentary (via Skype).

With the imposition of sharia law in the late 1970s, Pakistani orchestras were disbanded and musicians vilified, even killed. But when an amazing recording of Dave Brubeck’s “Take Five” on traditional Pakistani instruments goes viral, East meets West in improvisational harmony. A fascinating study in cross-cultural pollination, “Song” positively sings."
