Kirti in Conversation with Melbourne based Singer SIYER!


This week Bollyoz.com's Editor-in-Chief Kirti Sehrawat is in conversation with Melbourne based singer SIYER.

Having performed in over 400 LIVE SHOWS, Siyer has enthralled audiences across New Zealand, Australia, India and USA. Siyer has had the privilege of performing on multiple occasions with one of India's living legends, Shankar Mahadevan, who has actively mentored and supported Siyer through his music career. Based in Melbourne, Siyer has also performed with other stalwarts such as Udit Narayan, Sadhna Sargam and Shibani Kashyap. He has also opened shows for Usha Uthup, Rahul Vaidya, and Ali Azmat (of Sayonee, Junoon band). Siyer, as part of his collaboration with Bobby Beebob as 'Saffron Groove' has over 2.5 million views on Youtube.

Siyer is also an active songwriter and producer. GRAMMY Award Winner Ricky Kej produced Siyer's debut album 'Is Dhundh Mein', for which, Siyer wrote, composed and performed all the songs on. The music video for 'Is Dhundh Mein' was featured on MTV India and CHannel V India. Siyer was featured as the 'Artist of the fortnight' on B4U in India. Playback singer Sadhna Sargam has recorded a duet with Siyer on the album, which was released in Mumbai by Shankar Mahadevan. Siyer has now collaborated with Bobby Beebob and formed 'Saffron Groove' which is now signed to US based music label 50/50 Global Muzik, with all publishing administered through BMG USA.

Siyer is also organising an evening of films songs from the 1960's and 1970's with roots in semi-classical music in Melbourne on 2nd April. The venue is Chandler Community CenterKeysborough College, Acacia Campus, 28 Isaac Road, Keysborough, VIC. See the poster for the details:
