SATRANGI, Seven Colors Festival is going to be held on 22nd May 2016... the organiser of the festival Mr Nawal Moudgil and Debasree Das Mall (Mrs Asia International 2015) - the choreographer and designer of the fashion show for the festival provided the details of the multicultural festival and the special event - ‘Representation of Cultural Diversity and Identity in Australian Media’ in an interview to Bollyoz.com's advisor Dr Vikrant Kishore.

SATRANGI, Seven Colors, is an Indian, Australian & Multicultural festival of performing arts and creative arts which includes All Australian and multicultural Film, Fashion, Music, Dance, Instruments, Acting, Comedy, Drama Schools, Clubs and Community organizations to showcase their extraordinary talent to the public while encouraging the participation of the whole community in celebrating and valuing cultural diversity.
Satrangi festival is dedicated to Bollywood Filmmaker Late Shri Yash Raj Chopra. Inspired from Yash Chopra, for his feature film "Chak De India" shot in Melbourne, in which he has conveyed his soulful LOVE and patriotic message of showing the strength of uniting people of all cultures as one.
Satrangi 7 Colors festival also incorporates the presentations of productions of all film makers, while recognizing their cast & crew and motivating them to promote the social, cultural and economic benefits of cultural diversity through their film and arts projects.
This festival aims at strengthening Music, Film & Cultural ties of Victorian/Australian Film, Music & Arts industries with India and globally by recognizing the local talent and productions at this community platform.
It is open to All Cultures, Origins, and Religions & Age Groups.
‘Representation of Cultural Diversity and Identity in Australian Media’
Satrangi Festival is holding a special event titled – ‘Representation of Cultural Diversity and Identity in Australian Media’ as a part of the Satrangi 7 Colors 2016 Film Festival.
The event is being staged at 6 PM, Saturday, 28th May 2016 in RMIT Theatre, Building 80, 445 Swanston Street 3000.
The aim of Satrangi Film Festival is to focus on the cultural diversity and identity in Australian media. The festival will have presentations by special guests from the various fields of ethnic media and we will also be screening a few multicultural films.
Satrangi's objective is to increase the participation and involvement of all ethnic groups in Australia, in a bid to showcase their cultural, community and life aspirations.
It is also hoped that events such as this works as a springboard for greater creativity amongst the various cultural groups. In this way, festivals such as Satrangi are better able to display the truly multicultural nature of the Australian landscape worldwide.
